This year’s music trade show at ExCel London was the best yet! Moving from Birmingham has given the show a new boost of enthusiasm. Suppliers were packed out on the public days and retailers were impressed with their own VIP day. Drummers were even given a dedicated exhibition area just for them.
Many of the suppliers pulled out all the stops with live shows from big named artists such as:
Jamie Humphries, Billy Sheehan, Paul Gilbert, Phil Hilborne, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, RD Crusaders
George Barnett (Young Drummer of the Year), Ray Luzier (Korn & Jonathon Davis), Derico Watson (Victor Wooten Band), Trevor Lawrence (Snoop Dogg, Independent), Jojo Mayer (NERVE)
Chad Smith (Red Hot Chilli Peppers),
Josh Devine (Mapex Drummer of Tomorrow), Roy Mayorga (Stone Sour), Pete Ray Biggin (Mark Ronson), Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree), Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin & Foreigner), The Internationals, Surianne
Michael Messer & BJ Cole, Hot Lips & Chilli Fingers, Courtney Pine, Hot Lips & Chilli Fingers, Chris Difford & Boo Hewedine, Big Jim Sullivan.
