TYROS 3 LAUNCH NIGHT
Date: 8th October 2008
Venue: East Sussex National Golf Club, Little Horsted
8th October was the night of the official Bonners Tyros 3 Launch Night and what a success!
Held in the stunning venue of the East Sussex National Golf Club, 180 people joined us to watch Peter Baartmans and the Yamaha team introduce the not yet released Yamaha Tyros 3 keyboard.
A drinks reception gave everyone an opportunity to get a close up look of the instrument before the main event began, and the promise of an inspiring evening was set!
Once Peter Baartmans took to the stage, the audience and indeed Bonners staff were taken on a 45 minute journey around the Tyros 3’s new features including a selection from the 540 new sounds and 50 new styles, super articulation 2, and TFT high definition screen.
A short interval gave way to a brief demonstration by Bonners’ Rod Pooley. Click on the link to see a short clip of his performance.

The second half of the demonstration was a masterclass in how to use the Tyros 3 to its full potential, and quite frankly blew everyone away! We were treated to among others “The Typewriter Song” making use of the new hard disk recorder, “Stranger on the Shore” showing off the new Super Articulation 2 clarinet sound and a grand finale of the most spectacular “Pirates of the Carribean” theme tune!
The public are, as they say, the harshest critics, but there were no harsh words to be heard from the audience of this evening. Everyone was very impressed by the keyboard and indeed the evening as a whole, meaning that the event was nothing short of a Bonners success!
Many thanks to Peter and the whole Yamaha team for joining us in introducing the Tyros 3 to Sussex Coast.

New Yamaha Tyros 3 Teaser Advert Published
Yamaha have released a second "teaser" advert in this month's copy of Keyboard Player Magazine. The Tyros 3 is tipped to be the best selling keyboard of 2008/09 and is creating much excitement throughout the keyboard industry.
The Yamaha Tyros 1 & Tyros 2 keyboards were groundbreaking when they were released in 2002 & 2005 respectively, so keyboard players all over the World wait with baited breath to see if the new Tyros 3 will live up to expectations. From what i've seen I think it will!!
More on this great story soon. But in the meantime if you want some more information, visit our dedicated Yamaha Tyros 3 pages on our main site.

Roland Fantom G Keyboards
I've just come back from a great Roland training day which focused on the new Roland Fantom G series fo keyboard workstations.
The Fantom G's are great keyboards = having been a pro keyboard player for around 18 years, I can honestly say that the design of these instruments has really been thought about before production. There are loads of features that make live playing so much better - for ecample the PERFECT PATCH REMAIN stops the sounds cutting off when you change patch.
The programmable pads can be used as a numeric keypad, and the new LIVE MODE makes layering/splitting the keyboard so easy to do.
I love this keyboard and will definately be getting one for my own personal use as soon I can!!!

Scouting For Girls shop at Bonners
Last month when Scouting for Girls were touring, they were playing Brighton Dome. We got a phone call on the day they were playing from their tour manager asking for a Casio PX310 portable digital piano which needed to be delivered to them at the Dome that day. We have these in stock, so we got it over to them that evening. They even offered us free tickets for the gig!
They already had a Casio PX310, but wanted a spare one incase anything should happen to it. At £299, they got themselves a bargain!
Sanyko Flutes now in store!!
As a flute player, I am very excited about the arrival in store of 2 Sanyko flutes, the 201 and 301 models.
These are fantastic professional flutes, the 201 has a solid silver headjoint and the 301 has the solid silver headjoint and body. They both have a beautiful tone and are a pleasure to play, the keywork is light and facilitates quick playing. The lower registers are rich and deep in tone and the higher registers are clear and bright and easy to reach.
The 301 is by far the superior, having a solid silver tube really does imrove the sound quality, if I had the money, I would buy this flute today! I currently own a Miyazawa, but these Sankyos have made me question my belief that Miyazawas are unbeatable!! If you find yourself near our shop, I would really recommend coming to try one, you will not be disappointed.
